Toby Smith, who founded Toby's Estate in 1998 with a vision of bringing high quality sustainably-sourced coffee to caffeine addicts, is delighted to introduce the TWIST to Australian shores. This affordable-portable is retailing at $299 AUD (incl. GST), which includes the TWIST, three delivery baskets (for espresso grind; coarse (plunger) grind or coffee pods), a tamper, starter gas cartridges, a drip-catching coaster and travel pouch. This versatile device is small enough to fit into a suitcase, backpack or desk draw, and requires no external power source.
Winner of the 2009-2010 "Best New Product" Award from the Speciality Coffee Association of America (SCAA), this pneumatically enhanced system delivers exactly the correct pressure, as in commercial or quality domestic machines of nine bars of pressure throughout the duration of the 20 to 30 second espresso extraction. The small, stylish machine is powered by pressurized air cartridges - typically used for whipped cream and soda water - the cartridges in Sydney cost .80c each will deliver 8 single shots or 4 double shots of full crema espresso. Replacement cartridges are available at most supermarket stores or direct from Toby's website. The metal cartridge case is 100% recyclable, complementing Toby's S.E.E. project (Social, Ethical and Environmental Responsibility).
The mypressi TWIST is compatible with fresh ground coffee or standard pods. At just cents per shot, the mypressi TWIST offers an anytime, anyplace solution to the common where-will-I-get-my-coffee dilemma.
